The British Empire declared of independence signed at second continental congress on July forth during the late 1776.colonialism is the use of a weaker countries resource to enrich and strengthen the stronger country. Imperialism is the when a country extend their rule over another country. The Atlantic slave trade was based on the selling of African slaves to the European traders. The slaves was labor on coffee, rice ,sugar and tobacco plantations. I personally was raised in Guyana which was ruled by Great Britain. We were slaves an had to worked on plantation from sunrise to sunset, beaten harshly an treated live dogs. We were paid little or no money and had no education only the white were allowed to educate their children. We gain our independence on February 23 1966. England was basically the boss for us ,we worked an manufactured the crops and they read it and get the income.
