Romanticism

Romanticism has nothing to do with the word romantic or love of any kind; it’s actually an intellectual and artistic movement between the 18th century and 19th century that dealt with views against art, literature, poetry, and had ideas of allowing the people during this era to consider the world in a different perspective. Romanticism built a reaction of rebellion against the social conventions and rationalism during the Enlightenment period and it stirred up with the French Revolution with aristocratic social and political norms and influenced the theory of evolution which states “the past is the key to the present.”
